No. I am considered an out-of-network provider.
I can provide a superbill for you to file to insurance on your own. Many insurance plans will have some benefits for seeing a therapist out of network, while others may not. Please check with your insurance company to understand your reimbursement rates and rules.

I see older kids/pre-teens, ages 12 through adult.
Currently, I only work during school hours, but I can provide a school excuse note for each appointment.

Most people begin by seeing a counselor weekly. Other people may have scheduling or financial constraints that only allow them to come biweekly. I typically only see people less than twice a month if they are established clients and functioning well between sessions. In some cases, a higher level of care than weekly therapy may be needed.
Once goals are met, we will determine the best pacing to terminate counseling or work on new goals, depending on the client’s wishes.

I only see individuals. I can provide you referrals to a couples counselor to work with while we do individual work.

Simply go to the “request appointment” tab and fill out your contact info. That will email me and allow me to contact you. Alternatively, you can email me directly at Ashley@kahcounseling.com.
From there, I typically like to schedule a brief phone call (sometimes this can be done via email) to make sure that we are a good fit to start counseling. We also will usually set up an initial appointment and I will send you intake paperwork to complete before the appointment.

At your first appointment, you can park out front and wait inside of the lobby. Feel free to have a water, coffee, or use the restroom. Once our time begins, I will come get you from the lobby and bring you into the office.
If we are meeting virtually, you will receive a link for our appointment 48 hours in advance.
We will discuss practice policies for a few minutes, then begin to review your history and collaborate on goals for counseling.
Plan on about 55-60 minutes for session the first time, and 45-55 minutes for sessions thereafter.
