I only see individuals. I can provide you referrals to a couples counselor to work with while we do individual work.

Simply go to the “request appointment” tab and fill out your contact info. That will email me and allow me to contact you. Alternatively, you can email me directly at Ashley@kahcounseling.com.
From there, I like to schedule a brief phone call (sometimes this can be done via email) to make sure that we are a good fit to start counseling. We can set up our first appointment. I will send you intake paperwork to complete before the appointment. That’s it!

At your first appointment, you can park out front and wait inside of the lobby. Once our time begins, I will come get you from the lobby and bring you into the office.
If we are meeting virtually, you will receive a link for our appointment 48 hours in advance.
We will discuss practice policies for a few minutes, then begin our intake session.
Plan on about 55-60 minutes for session the first time, and 45-55 minutes for sessions thereafter.

This will vary, depending on your goal. If we are focused on one specific goal, it may be possible to see dramatic improvement in the first few sessions, followed by a 2-3 maintenance sessions. I have seen goals met in as few as 4-6 sessions. However, the majority of my clients are with me for 6 months to several years. This extended time allows us to meet several goals with restructuring of brain and behavior patterns. If there is severe or complex trauma related to your problem, I expect progress fairly quickly, but completion of your goal to take more time.
